Hi all - I've had either the backlight or inverter go on my 4 year old Hyundai 19" L90D+ LCD monitor.  Shine a torch on the screen and its displaying, just not lighting the display.  I've tried a couple of computer repair places in Welly today and been told they don't do screens (it seems teching in some of the stores these days is "replace the motherboard, run a virus scan, unlike my day when we had actual skilled electronics techs making money for the company...).

Anyone got any suggestions for any reasonable techs in Welly who can handle an LCD inverter or backlight diagnose and swapout?

Sorry I don't know of anywhere but is it an option to take it back to the place you bought it from and get them to sort it?

If they say it can't be repaired or the repair is expensive I'd be pulling out the consumer guarantees act on them :) 4 years is too early for a monitor to fail (unless it's a cheapy repair)
