Hey all,

Today my neighbour has offered to sell me 2 lcd monitors with vga inputs, so ive started thinking i could use these for an eyefinity setup with my Radeon HD 5750.
I have read in several places that you do not need an active display port adaptor for a third monitor when the third monitor is using a vga input. Can someone please confirm this as im thinking of buying these monitors then just buying a cheap $25 displayport to vga adaptor of trademe so I can use them along with the lcd monitor i have now in eyefinity? Evidence would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's luck of the draw, you'll either get lucky with a good DP to VGA adapter and have no issues, or it'll keep crashing once you switch on the VGA-DP monitor

Either way, just try it, worst that'll happen is you'll have to buy another VGA-DP monitor
