Does anyone have any recommendations for partitions for a new, 500GB hard drive I am going to be installing?

It will be used as a primary hard drive, with media and programs only, no back up.

I would have enough on 1 partition for windows and programs - then everything else for the 2nd partition.
Depending on the programs you install, 50-80gb should be enough.
