Looks to me like you might have the numlock turned on which on some keyboards maps the number keys on the right hand side of the keyboard. They are normally in a lighter colour in the top of the P,L keys etc.. Could this be the case?

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Your 3l33t key is stuck. Or someone is playing a prank with some sort of keyboard filter.

Most likely the membrane inside the keyboard. There is little you can do about it other than replace the keyboard. Keyboards are wired in a matrix, not individual wires. If there is a leakage path on one then it affects a group of keys often about 8. Did someone spill a few drops of Coke on it?

OK, I don't need to annoy you guys anymore with my 1337, I am now using the on screen keyboard.
But the problem is still present.

The chances of an electrical problem replacing certain characters with multiple characters which when combined visually looks the same as the original, is pretty much nil. o -> 0, D -> |), p -> |2

This is being done by some software.

@Jarno

I was using 0 |) an |2 because I don't have the O D and P letters.
I isn't a program that's switching them. It was me so that I could communicate with you guys. (I forgot about the "softboard")

@nakedmolerat

Ill try borrowing.

Got a new keyboard, seems to work. Its a shame that the other one just stopped working though, it was a better quality than this one :(
Still, an enormous thanks to all of you who helped me, you saved me much frustration :D.

Buy Logitech. Cost more, but not too much more, and works well.
