Can someone tell what the point of tabbed browsing is when there were already 'tabs' in the form of Windows' taskbar items which work fine and you can preview them with aero peek. I never understood it.
The tabbed thing drives me nuts, and I just end up 'losing' pages and closing them by accident. This is why my first choice of browser would be IE with it's disable tabs option) if it wasn't for the fact that IE doesn't support drag and drop to web pages. This is after two years of using Chrome and FireFox, and my best efforts to utilise tabs - I just find them pointless.
Tabs are not for everyone, if you don't use them, then just don't.
To me, tabbed browsing makes perfect sense. I have one browser application, I don't need it opened more than once. I have enough other applications running on my PCs that I don't need the display manager cluttered with heaps of browser windows.
Again, if the UI doesn't work for you, don't use it.
