kiwijunglist: Recommend

CrystalDiskInfo - Free software, no nags, no compulsory bundled crap.

It has OpenCandy inside it. After a bit of reading it's not entirely clear what this does or how it does it, but it's a  way for software authors to make money from free software. I think it just works during installation, recommending other software you "may want".

However nothing popped up during installation, so I'm not sure what it does... anyone know?

Just read every screen during installation so you don't accidentally install any crap. You have to be careful because sometimes you have to untick to not install stuff, and sometimes you have to tick to not install stuff, they always try to trick you :)

I didn't see anything that offered to install anything else, so fingers crossed. The email alert feature's handy :)
