Samsung 840 pro (now the 850 pro) won the 18 month SSD endurance test. I have an 840 pro and an 850 pro, both work well. 120GB is heaps for OS and programs, but they're cheap now so get whatever size you think you want. I prefer two smaller rather than one larger, so I can image the OS easily, and not have to partition the SSD - that could limit its speed in theory - no idea if it does in practice.

imo, 240 is the minimum, i struggled with just one 240 till i got my second....

I cant get by with a 120 or a 240. I have been replacing them with 500/480's, and then striping the old slow ones for non critical stuff like steam library

My OS (W10) drive uses 60GB, with hibernate turned off, and all media and data on other drives. That's with office, Photoshop, a few other imaging programs, etc.
