Don't forget to factor in battery replacements.  My APC units are lasting quite a while between needing to replace batteries.

With normal usage replace batteries every three years.

 

 

Mine seem to be lasting 5 to 7 years.  You've just made me realise that my UPSes are quite old now!

Old APC ones have really high stand by power use. 25w all the time quickly covers a newer more efficient one.
