I've just bought a Dell QHD P2416D and like it a lot. But it is set to 125% (recommended under win 10). I couldn't use it at 100%.
gzt: Just wondering if anyone is using this res for average business and a bit of coding. Any issues with scaling or applications?
How are you finding it?
Depends on screen size, assuming application can't scale. If they scale you can do whatever you want.
1440p - 27" min screen
If using 24" you will need some scaling.
gzt: I'm thinking I'll find one 27" 1440 to be a better experience than two 24" 1440. I can use something else as a second monitor until i can add another 27.
But now I've priced in at 27, the next step up in res/$ is not so bad. What's the sensible " size for the next step in res?
Next "step" is 32" at 2160p but -
I have a 32" 2160p. My eyes hurt, because the white light is zapping my eyes like you're looking into the sun. I find that resolution to be too fine, and everything needs scaling (which is fine if it scales), but doesn't help the pain when the screen is white eg web browsing. If not white it's fine.
32" @ 2160p =138 dpi
27" @1440p = 109 dpi
I'd stick with 27". But that's me. You could get ultrawides, eg 32" ultrawides, but sorry you can calculate the dpi and see if it is in the sweet spot
