re 3 year warranties on monitors or notebook displays

make sure its a ZERO PIXEL warranty, for the full 3 years.
Some 'warranties' wont cover you if a few pixels go bad

If you cant get a 3year warranty on a PC, buy another brand, or dont buy the cheapies.
After 3 years , just replace any parts if they fail. As long as it takes generic parts (ie no SFF) , anything except the Motherboard should only be
$100 or less to replace(parts cost)

And paid for extended warranties themselves can be scams. With the company covering the warranty repair sometimes doing anything theycan
to try & avoid actual repairs/payouts.
There is the option of Genuine Manufactures extended Warranty (eg warranty extension bought from HP), thats a better option if you must have one.

Yeah, Apple does say somewhere what their stance is on dead pixels, pretty sure there have to be a few, in, in the way places to be covered.

Also, got a reply from the company I bought my phone from, no dice. The phone cost about $700, would expect the charging cable to last longer than 2 years.

Every time I had a 'charging cable issue' it was fluff in the socket. A can of dry air or contact cleaner works for me. I overdid it last time with the contact cleaner, the screen took weeks to clear..

Yeah just tried that, but didn't help. Pretty sure it's the cable, as it works fine with a friends cable.
