Does Avast remedy the compromised version? Ie; do nothing and Avast will fix it up?

gzt: Am I the only one who thought ccleaner is weird and unnecessary?

people love to fiddle & install uneeded junk. Look at all the love for 3rd party defraggers & system optimisers

I cant see any need for CC to be ~allways on~ , allways on & monitoring by default
