I clean mine out twice a year with my compressor, I would suggest a water trap might be a good idea depending on the compressor.

Otherwise you may get water in the mix from condensation inside the tank etc.

Also, something I haven't tried but am going to (which may be completely unsafe), on Youtube there are videos showing you how to refill your cans with a compressor.

The cans are still useful to have on your desk for quick tidy-ups of your keyboard etc, but pricey if you keep buying them.

Can I refill my can at the Petrol station?

Yeah I saw that. it could be my solution

Edit: I just watched the review and the guy tested it on cleaning a computer with it and he found that there wasn't enough air to do much this unit is really only suitable for inflating things.

I may still buy to try it for myself.

Edit: I just saw the review and it doesn't have a tank.

I am not sure, I've only been told about this "hack" in the last couple of days and haven't checked it out.

Go to YouTube and search for "how to refill compressed air can", there's more than one video.

Again, not sure myself if this is wise or not.

Oh, one more tip for cleaning PCs - always immobilise your fans especially when using the compressor.

Thanks. yes I know it's best to prevent fans from spinning when cleaning out PC.

I have decided to get a air compressor and the Air Inline Water Trap to go with it

Not much help to the OP but I use the 40L air compressor in my garage. Also having your PC on the desk rather than on the floor is a big help for reducing dust intake.

Getting a compressor just for blowing out computers seems to be a bit over the top unless you have other uses for it.
I got a "Air Pig", basically a portable tank about size of a 9KG LPG bottle, much lighter.
Fill it up at petrol station and it is good to blow out one pc no problems.
Hmmm at a guess about $30 at your friendly auto parts store
Came with hoses, airgun and adapters for filling up usual stuff, tyres etc.
Works well for me and I chuck it into a corner until next time.
Yes youtube have people converting a LPG bottle for same use, but seems to be a lot of work for about $30, probably cost that much in connectors alone.

Yes that's what my mum said when I discussed it with her unless I was cleaning PCs on a daily basis a compressor would be overkill and I have no other uses for a compressor, they arn't portable and it would just be another thing to put in the garage.
