Yes, that is better. Should be fairly quick too.

Not a lot of disk space, but if you don't have too many photos/ videos etc, should be fine.

Yes it would be. Has Windows 10 and a SSD so should be quick.

Only thing about it is its a 3rd gen Intel (3470t) which released in 2012, now 6 years old. We're on 8th generation (soon to be 9th). I find that unless you run good components under good conditions (power, temperature) for their lifetime you'd be hard pressed to get them to live for longer than 8-10 years.

If you're okay with it lasting maybe another 2-4 years then go for it. Otherwise I would look at more recent hardware like the above mentioned NUC which is a bit more recent with a 7th generation cpu.

HP , Lenovo (Dell??) use non standard parts with non standard connectors, even in the full size PC's
This can make out of warranty repairs very difficult and expensive
Buying ex lease from PBTech you wont have many options brandwise though

btw, reconditioned only means they cleaned the case & wiped the Hard Drive :-)

That Lenovo you mentioned only has a 120Gb hard drive.
Thats too small for most people , if you have a lot of photos etc you will only end up needing to upgrade it .

Another option , cheap HP , get them to install a 256Gb SSD HD
https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/EXWKSHP8244/HP-Elite-8200-Desktop-PC-A-Grade-OFF-LEASE-Busines

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/HDDINT3702310/Intel-SSD-545s-256GB-25in-SATA-6GBS-16NM-TLC-3D-Re

Keep in mind with these brand name SFF PC's , even a simple powersupply fail can make it unecomonic to repair

kiwicw: I must add that we are 70 year old pensioners and know nothing about computers,so when i look at computers that has being suggested,i say wow and go and make a cup of tea, thanks

in that case, you need one with a tea cup holder.

i recommend a dell 17" laptop, pretty much a desktop that you can move around the house.

You could consider an all in one like the following https://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/desktops/lcd-monitor/listing-1823735870.htm?rsqid=34197d3b5caf47d3a829e6de2e6a41bd

would be significantly faster than the one you're considering from PBTech because it has a SSD hard drive

EDIT: Oops didn't see the more recent posts.

With your age and lack of computer knowledge DO NOT let the sales person up sell you to something you do not want or need.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Yes, two usb ports in the front and two in the back.

From Lenovo spec it should have wifi built in but it would be good to ask. If it doesn't you'll need a usb wifi adapter.

Also in the comments it only has vga and displayport for the monitor connection. If your existing screen doesn't have either then you'll need an adapter. See the following for the differences.

You've reminded me of the time I listened to a DSE sales assistant explaining to a pensioner how it wasn't possible to do emails on his new computer unless he bought MS Office in order to get Outlook.
