What Video Card to get

Look friend, don't mistake my directness for any animosity towards you. I work in this sort of space for a living and I spend a lot of my time supporting people who don't want to understand or put any effort into solving their problems, they just want "silver bullets". You also need to remember this is an enthusiast forum, not a tech support business though.

We are giving you the benefit of our knowledge, for free, based on our own many hours of research because of our passion for the hobby. We expect that you will do a bit of the leg-work though, not have us spoon-feed you the history of DIY computing. If you don't understand something we have said or why we said it, say you don't understand it. We don't know what you don't know and are happy to explain things to you if you let us know. But when you don't answer our questions or call us up on the things you don't understand, we can only take it as read that you understand already.

I do want to help you, not brow-beat you with knowledge. But you need to understand that when we ask for more info, its because we are trying to give you more helpful answers, so you can get the best value for your money. This stuff is so dependent on your specific use case, so what works for me, may not work for you. You were given plenty of generic recommendations in the other thread, so forgive me for not wanting to give you anymore. You have also been asked multiple times for more a budget or what monitor you are using, without an answer. Then leave statements implying we (or I) haven't been helpful.

Truly though, I am glad you got what you needed, here or elsewhere. Also FYI, try to stick to one thread for the same subject; it makes it hard to keep track of what you may or may not know/have been told if its spread across multiple threads.

Also @allio, rereading my reply to you I realized it was dismissive where it wasn't intended to be. Apologies for that, I'm sure it will be helpful to anyone looking for a quick primer on the market landscape.
