Yeah she might not be right...if the 750Ti only has DVI & Mini HDMI, if the HDMI is only 1.4 (which it could well be with the age it is) I'm pretty sure it can't do 3440x1440 @ 60hz, which is not going to be good enough.
Depends on the implementation, most of the AIB cards seem to have full size HDMI ports, even some Displayports, and its rated for max display output of 4096x2160, which is probably at 30fps given it is HDMI 1.4. It probably will do only like 5fps in most AAA games, but I imagine it will be perfectly competent of running most general productivity apps ie. email, Office etc. Hell, I would even bet that A12-9800 APU can output 4k.

I think the LG looks good. What do you think? I'm not a gamer at all so the criteria for that doesn't really appeal to me.
But something that is going to do me for many years without going old on me etc :)
Mainly going to be for surfing the web, watching video, work from home etc
For the money and your use cases, I think it would be a good option. The Titan monitors are more gaming focused, and while VA screens are better for games and movies, I think the LG's 10 bit IPS will be much better for your uses.
I have been using mine for the same things since the lockdown started and I am not looking forward to going back to dual monitors at work... its hard to go back from ultrawides!
There are better of course (the Dell UltraSharp range for one), but they start scaling up in price appropriately haha.
Not sure what your budget is, but as your AOC is a 28" 4K monitor, you could be dropping down in two major areas by going to an ultrawide:
1) Screen real estate (depending on UI scaling): Your 4K monitor has ~8.3M pixels. I'm not sure what ultrawide you are looking at but 34" ultrawides commonly have 3440x1440 resolution which is roughly 5M pixels, while 3840x1600 commonly seen on 38" ultrawides equals ~6.2M pixels.
2) Sharpness: 4K on your 28" is around 157PPI, while 34" @ 3440x1440 and 38" @ 3840x1600 both are ~110PPI. Personally I find 110PPI not sharp enough.
Unless you are looking at a 5K2K ultrawide you could be giving up on realestate and sharpness.
I have a Dell U3419W 34" Ultrawide which I'm using for WFH, but the above two reasons are why I'm personally looking at getting a 32" 4K.

I'm not sure my U2870 is 4K. It's HD I know. I'm just wanting a Ultrawide for WFH instead of getting another monitor.
I was looking at @ShinyChrome suggestion for the Dell one, and I'm looking at that one. What would you recommend for 4K Ultrawide?
