Good choice, and just note you don't even have to buy the Epson ink you can just buy any ink bottles down the road for cheaper as well.

This is a good printer which I bought last year on the advice I got from this forum - the one small thing that you may need to consider is that it doesn't automatically do double-sided printing. Other than that, it is great.
Dingbatt:Try using a static I.P. instead of DHCP.
Interesting that people are recommending Brother machines. I am on my second MFC, a MFC-4510 that replaced my MFC-5440. Purchased, if I’m honest, because it offered A3 printing, which at the time was useful for my son’s graphics projects. We used it for that purpose no more than half a dozen times.
I find the 4510 frustrating in that it often ‘goes missing’ on the network, and sometimes fails to wake from sleep requiring a hard reset to wake it up and get it back on line. It is a known fault with plenty of reports of problems online. Despite multiple firmware updates the problem persists. In general I don’t find Brother software (PC and mobile) particularly user friendly either.
Although I don’t have a different brand to compare it with, I have also read that Brother machines are heavy on ink. They offer great features for the price but next time I replace a printer it probably won’t be a Brother.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already have static ip addresses for pretty much everything that is connected in my house, and yes my router is capable of handling more than 32 devices.

Yeah this particular model doesn't have a ADF - Automatic document feeder, you need to pay for a higher model with that function.

I know it is a little more price wise but consider looking into an Epson Ecotank printer. Like this one from Harvey Norman: Link.
My first ecotank printer failed before the supplied ink ran out -- epson/Warehouse stationary refused to fix it (just out of warranty) and this time I didn't have the energy for chasing up through the CGA.
I bought another ecotank from HN, ET4750, and it is much better. I recommend that model.
Not sure about photo printing as I haven't done that with this model, but read some reviews.
