Stu1:Handle9:I'm pretty happy with my setup now. I just added the studio monitors which has made a huge difference. I'm waiting on a DAC to arrive and that'll be it for me until prices on PC parts come down.
Out of interest what’s the depth of your desk? , I’m looking at getting a new desk. I went into the office for the first time the monitors seemed miles away compared to home so trying to work out a better desk depth
xpd:Right, Im feeling shamed out already, can hardly see cables on your guys setups, yet mine, thats all you see LOL :D
Wakrak:
Hasn't changed much in the last 12 months. Will eventually upgrade GPU from GTX 1060 6gb to something with a bit more grunt. Just so we can play Wii 2K/4K on TV without being drowned out by GPU fans.
What it looks like underneath. Everything gets fed into the basket unless it goes to the TV just to the right of the desk.
Now just waiting for the phone holder I bought off Kogan. Just got DroidCamX so I can use phone as webcam.
(Edit* added last sentence).
that's a good idea to put the cables etc in a basket under the desk
i might try that

Dont feel bad my office is a mess. Cables are tucked away but if you look under the desk its pretty messy. I don't really think I will bother cleaning it up because if I need to unplug/move something it becomes a great big mission. I dont feel like I got the time HAHA.
likely more out there if you looked
gehenna: I also do Teams meetings from here quite often now which is fun. At that size it's like we are all in the room together.
Your Teams meetings look a lot more fun than mine. I haven't got to wear armour at work since the end of year party!
I finally finished my DIY project on Saturday, which means I can share my all-new desktop setup.
I designed and built the desk custom to fit in this space. It's taken about 6 weeks, working weekends and evenings and learning a lot about my lack of woodworking and tool skills along the way. But I'm pretty pleased with the outcome, despite all that. The sliding tray for the Amiga 500 is a bit on the tight side, so I will take that out and shave a few mm off to make it slide a bit smoother. Also really like the backlighting. It's probably my inner 12 year old, liking the RGB setup - I hardly have time for gaming, either - but I think it's cool, and so do my 6 and 3 year old daughters, and that's all that really matters. I also have them linked up to Alexa, and the kids enjoy going into my room and asking Alexa for their favourite colour on my desk lights.
A recent addition is the Logitech G915 keyboard (snap, @gehenna). Loving this keyboard, and have just picked up the wired version (G815) to use at work).
The old stereo speakers will be used for the A500 once I get the RGB2HDMI mod installed, and can use the HDMI monitor for both PC and A500. Because the HDMI mod doesn't handle audio (and the monitor doesn't have built in speakers anyway), I'll send the RCA outputs to the stereo speakers. I use an Amazon Echo connected via bluetooth for sound on the PC, which will eventually oust Yoda from the centre of the top shelf (and relocate to my new Lego shelf).
Finally, I have my little gizmo box with the switch for turning on my PC and my missle switch for the Knight Rider scanner built in. I do like my pointless little gadgets...
xpd:
A real Amiga :D
I'm just setting one up again in WinUAE.
The A500's were a sod to position nicely on some desks, especially once you added a side port expansion :D
I never had to grapple with the side port issue. I'm planning to have my HDMI mod exit the rear of the case, so should be okay in terms of the side. Next will be a GoEx drive in place of the floppy.
I like the Logitech keyboard @Lizard1977 but it is a bit of a battery drain when using RGB. I can share some settings I've come up with if you run into short battery issues. I can get a good few weeks out of a single charge when using RGB now. Using just white LED lasts ages as you'd expect. And no LED at all lasts a few months I believe. It's a very very nice keyboard to type on. I had the G613 before this one. It's also a nice mechanical experience but no backlight was an issue.
It's my first mechanical, and I love the sensation of typing on the tactile keys. They're not noisy like I worried they might be, so it's fine for the open plan office.
I've only had it a couple of weeks so the battery drain isn't something I've noticed yet. I do have a number of colour profiles for different apps, but it's no great hardship to plug it in one evening every couple of weeks, no different than my MX Master mouse.
One thing I would love on this keyboard would be some kind of motion sensor to light it up when you come back to it. It would be so sci-fi to be able to wave a hand over the keyboard and have the lights turn on in a ripple from the middle.
My desktop setup. My old iMac 2014 Retina to the left, because of ongoing problems with kernel panics it is not just showing server monitoring most of the time (and have not had one kernel panic doing that, figures).
Main screen is a LG 4K HDR display with a Logitech C920 camera on top.
Main computer at the moment is the MacBook Air M1 on the left. So nice never having to hear any fan noise, and the speed of it is at least on par with the iMac and often much quicker.
Got 3 phones. The original iPhone laying under the iMac because its fun to pick up from time to time. Then a Nokia 7 Plus that I have my second Pokémon account on. This years iPad in the middle and the phone used to take this picture is the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Keyboards are Apple extended keyboards with Norwegian layout.
Speakers are Bower & Wilkins MM, headphones the Sennheiser HD6XX, and headset is Jabra Pro 930.
Microphone is a Røde Podcaster with a Røde microphone arm.
Desk is an IKEA motorised desk that goes from sitting to standing.
