gzt:dt: Seen some crazy big crowds online this morning at various other outlets
What is the reason for this - is it special prices or just a desperate need for retail therapy? I don't understand.
A sports retailer at a major Auckland mall decided it was a good idea to offer the first 150 people through the door a gift pack with a $150 value. Advertising an in store DJ etc.
I understand that they also carry some exclusive sneakers that have a cult following.
All up pretty irresponsible behavior in the midst of a covid-19 lock-down.
[edit] - should note that they opened at 12:01 am, so the people lining up for the freebies didn't really overlap with normal shopping hours.
