18TB is a relatively mainstream size. And until this year it was pretty available with good $/TB numbers.

I try not to delete things - unless they are utter rubbish or I manage to get a better quality version.

On my math, with a bit of judicious offloading to some old USB drives I have had for a long time, I can get through to October/November before I hit major problems. Then I guess if will be refurbed drives from the US if local pricing & availability hasn't returned to sane(ish) levels.

I get a lot of enjoyment out of my media server, which is the main space hog - tinkering with it, watching stuff on it, and seeing my family enjoy watching stuff on it. It's an enjoyable hobby, and I find tinkering with it and adding stuff to it is a good way to just zone out and relax after a hard week. I'm loath to give up on it.
