- Personally, I think TeamViewer is the best non-commercial VNC app, so that's my main app of choice for remote support.
- As far as boot CDs are concerned, I just use my own linux OS/rescue CD/USB which replaces ERD, UBCD, etc.
- Spyware removal : There are too many AntiMalware programs out there and all of them miss some or the other malware, so I just prefer using the Sysinternals Suite, along with APT and Process Hacker. While I go about checking out the system manually, I run a background scan with MalwareBytes to speed up/automate the process a bit. Used to use Combofix but I just prefer doing it manually with Sysinternals. More fun that way, plus I can avoid malware getting deleted before I can save a copy for myself!
Permission Analyzer, excellent tool to enumerate access rights per user or group. It's more graphical than AccessEnum and besides that it saves the network information in a database (making the overviews a lot faster and better support for searching/filtering etc....) http://www.PermissionAnalyzer.com

Get off your high horse.. so simply discussing something isnt allowed now? who are you to tell us what can and cant be discussed? theres more shady things talked about on here than discussing a tool. No links have been provided. The op asked for software that was used so i obliged. Theres a couple of dodgy programs on that disc that you dont have to use, the majority of software provided is free.
So shifting the focus onto you.. you say you use teamviewer?
Have you paid the $1200 to do so?? oh you havn't? well in that case your using it illegally. Its free for personal use, not for remote support of your business clients, or anyone else where you get any monetary gain out of doing so. Who said it was a non commercial product? Its VERY commercial, to the tune of $1200!! Call the forum police..

The forum rules clearly discourage the promotion of illegal material. By talking about it in positive light, you're certainly promoting it's usage. Whether or not *you* actually use any of the illegal software on the disc is out of question, but the fact is that simply downloading the said CD is committing an act of piracy. Not only are you violating the forum rules, but also breaking the law and in effect encouraging others to do so.
It's actually pretty sad that you have to resort to downloading an illegal package when there are clearly legal alternatives to it; also, building such a CD by oneself is but a trivial task.
TeamViewer is perfectly fine and legal to use for non-commercial purposes. It clearly says so in the program and on the website. I never actually called it a non-commercial app, but an app that's great for non-commercial usage. I haven't purchased a commercial license for it, nor have I used it in a commercial environment, which is why I only recommended it as a non-commercial application.
