What about getting an Amoled monitor instead?

Amoled vs IPS is like SSD vs HDD. Vastly superior.

Google the 24" Sony PVM-2551MD. It gets released this month in Japan with a retail price of US$12,500. Small change aye?

Think I might wait a few years until I replace my 24" samys with a few AMOLED monitors. ;)

Yea gotta hate it when you don't have a lazy $12.5K to spend on a new monitor :P

Anyway I ended up going with one of these:

Hopefully I'll recieve it byt the end of the week. Thanks for the help everyone :)

Oh I might be a bit late but if you are able to cancel our order from dell you might like to try contacting digizone.co.nz in Albany. I got the U2311H model earlier this year for about $200 cheaper than the Dell website. Might be worth the effort.
