Guys, I think if the OP wants some privacy, then them have it. We should not be dictating nor questioning what they want to do with their privacy. We should just provide them with the solutions and if they want it they can accept it, if they don't then tough luck.

We must all remember that we live in a country that now believes you are guilty until proven innocent The babysitter is clearly going to download music and movies which means the account holder is responsible for her actions.
The account holder must therefore take measures that are far beyond what any sane person in another country would consider appropriate because of some stupid law our government passed.
Your babysitter may hack into the australian prime minister's computer, and you can say it wasnt me. But should your babysitter download a bootleg copy of lady gaga's new song... well, you better watch out.

and AFAIK he's happy giving unrestricted access, but for some reason not happy to share his password or touch the child's tablet to input it himself? OTT was correct, unless he's planning to set up a B&B anyway :)

- he is willing to give guests full wifi access, but isnt willing to tell them the wifi password. - does he think the guest will come back sometime, hide in the bushes & misuse his wifi without him knowing . - does he think that having a wifi pass in someones PC is an open door to hacking ??

Share the internet connection on the iMac via wifi, when you no longer want her to have access just turn the wifi off. It did say your connection to the iMac is wired?
