MadEngineer: ESET will block all the malware ....

no...it...wont
NOTHING will block all malware. Nothing. Ive seen malware get passed all common AV programs

It sounds like the kid needs to have some control/restraint imposed on him. Easier said than done at this stage of his life .

eset is one of the very few that does a good job of blocking malware.  Find me another AV program that can for example detect and block IP scanner tools.  In fact very few block PUPs at all (even mcafee does a bollocks job of it when they're supposed to have penned that term).

sure, it's not 100% but considering it blocks malware, i'd say it does a better job than any other AV software around.  I constantly have people bringing me machines with AV that they've paid for and the machine is riddled with malware that isn't even detected.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Not pretending to be up with the play, but researching malware infections shows up some pretty scary stuff abour router infections as well.
