Ah, my bad. If it's $1900 excluding the monitor, 16GB of RAM and an OS can be included.

So many videos recommending different parts - but I think going that path (Ryzen) would suit me best.

Although if anyone knows someone selling/getting rid of a monitor, let me know!

1) Dont skimp on the PSU. Get a 600W+ 80+bronze or better.

2) Get a GTX1070 if you want to do 1440p. Gaming is generally done @ 1080p.

3) Best bang for buck at the moment in my opinion is a Ryzen 5. Probably a 1600, and use the stock cooler, they are apparently pretty good.

4) Get 16 GB RAM

5) Get at least a 240gb SSD. Go M2 if you can. And a 2TB drive for storage.

6) Get a nice looking case if you can.

You will easily get this for about $1600~$1700. Maybe less if you don't go with the 1070. I love nVidia cards. So I would go to the GTX1060 for 1080p gaming. Or a 1070+ for 1440.
