Logitech MX Master are the best one around - so comfortable. Bluetooth and Logitech dongle, pair with up to three devices. Really good stuff.

How well does the centre button function with the MX Master? I wonder if it is setting or hardware issue, but the centre buttons do not work well on either on my Performance MX mices (sorry for the redundant plural, but I watched a Jeremy Clarkson video today, and he was doing that thing where he says 'horse powers' and 'torques'.

The G900 doesn't look like it has any additional buttons, which I have got too used to having.

The guy in the video I saw, when looking for info on the G903, appeared to have three mice connected to the same computer simultaneously, and unless there was some slick editing going on, he could use them at the same time. I guess, when you think about it, a lot of us have multiple pointing devices and they play well together, so I am not sure why I am surprised at this.

I currently only have one mouse, but I also have a tablet and a Space Mouse, which I guess would use similar APIs. Or perhaps not as only the tablet needs to read pen pressure etc. and the Space Mouse comes damn close to pulling information from parallel universes.

@TLD - which aspect of the centre button:

- the scrolling per se

- the speed adaptive scroll

- middle click

- something else? (I've had no problems with any of the above after 2y)

I have 3 mice on my PC and its all fine except when the razer crap-ware locks up and the side buttons on my naga die. Look at the naga if you want multiple buttons - I found it much nicer than the logitech MMO mouse with its side buttons. G900 is ambidextorous which is great when needing to left hand it because I have a soldering iron or something in use at the same time. My other mouse on here is the swiftpoint Z that I kickstartered, which TBH is also let down with terrible software but they have redone it, but its demanding a firmware update which only worked on a different USB port to where its plugged into at the moment so can wait till I can get under the desk again to move it to the onboard USB2.0 ports.

Interesting. Had that tab open for a while. Price went from $49.99US deal expires in X minutes > $49.99 deal expired > still $49.99 with no mention of any special deal anywhere.

These sort of suspicious price hikes happen all too often it seems to me. Cheap air fares and accommodation are other examples. If it is deliberate, then it would probably have to use cookies, and if that was what was actually happening, then using a Chrome Incognito, or Firefox Private window would get past it. After Trump was elected I got into reading American news, and sites like The Washington Post only allow a few page views each month. Using a private browser window gets past that as well. You sometimes have to close the window and open another, but that gets a clean start and you can keep on reading.

It feels like a stretch that well known sites really would cynically use your browser history to suck you in and make you pay more, because there are so many clever people out there who would reverse engineer their sites and prove it was happening, and there would surely be a media uproar if that happened.

I think it's well known that prices change regularly, for different people, different browsers, etc.

In my case I had something in my cart for maybe a week, I looked at it on and off, then the price went down. Maybe they were trying to encourage me to buy. However, sometimes it goes the other way, with prices going up.

My MX Master mouse arrived today. US$49 plus shipping, would've been around $10 by itself, so $82 delivered - a bit better than in NZ.

So far it seems very nice. It took little time to set up as a bluetooth mouse, plus installing the logitech options software. It's comfortable in the hand. It works well as a basic mouse. It has a button by the thumb that enables configurable gesture control - I have it set to control my music player (Spotify) and volume. It's slightly too sensitive but I'll get used to it. No way to thumbs down with it either. You can configure it for buttons to do different things with different applications, but I haven't bothered. It has smart scroll, which means if you flick the mouse wheel it spins just about forever, but you can turn that off in software or with a button.

Build quality isn't quite as good as my old G5, which feels like you could pound a nail in with, but it's good.

Basically it's a good quality mouse without too many gimmicks or buttons.

I have the logitech G502 with all the weights added in, If you have massive hands like I do then the weight feels very good, I enjoy the cluster of buttons around the thumb for navigation so much that I find myself constantly trying to find it on my work mouse which doesn't have it. I also enjoy being able to disable the 'click' on the mouse wheel scroll as that annoys the missus, I re-enable it when she isn't in the room.

Using a G900 for home - gaming, documents etc. Really comfortable (for me) and accurate sensor.

Got a G602 for work - all the buttons are nice for shortcuts and love the shape and texture of the mouse. Would recommend both.

Another vote for the G900. Got mine as a price match at Noel Leeming when HN had the killer deal.

No question for me it is the best mouse I have ever used. Size is "just right", and as a lefty - there are VERY few other good options around.
