michaelmurfy:

I'm running Rosetta@home on my workstation when I am not using it along with my UnRaid server (in Docker).

Likewise, and for a similar amount of time.

Have you limited it to cores or a % of cpu usage at all?

I am limiting at 75% of cores - six out of eight and to 75% CPU usage total.

Mine is set to 100% on both CPU and GPU

Boinc is pretty good at letting go of resources when you use the PC, or game.

@Ge0rge Limited to 4/8 cores for me. My UnRaid server can get quite busy and hosts quite a bit. Just doing my best to do my part.

It's middle of the night in the US, more will pop up again once they start to wake up.

Check the log, you wil lsee what its up to sometime pausing it and restarting will try fetching from a different server. Or just leave it going set on FULL.

LTT did a video on it today so expect its under strain again

09:28:05:ERROR:WU01:FS00:Exception: Could not get an assignment

It's away now, changed from a GPU WU to CPU.

I'll let FAH fight it out with BOINC for CPU cycles overnight :-)

The LTT video mentions that they will try and help out by hosting a WU server

I'd run it on Miss 19s gaming computer (which she brought from her brother when he moved away last year), but it's rather power hungry and I'm not sure I want the power bill! I've set up BOINC on a Mac and old Surface Pro 4, and for now it's all they're doing.

I wonder whats more efficient in terms of power usage? Running CPU only tasks at full throttle or just the GPU based work units?

I've turned off all CPU projects on mine. I Only have a single GTX 980 running stocks speeds

I have decided to run Rosetta@Home for CPU tasks and Folding@Home for GPU tasks. Unfortunatelly it seems Folding@Home ran out of tasks to process...
