joker97: hmmm - you guys raise such an interesting question: what about laptop screen? how does one know which laptop LCD/LED is good for photoshopping?


IMHO it is best to get an external screen that can be calibrated correctly - plus if something is "wrong" with the screen,  you still have the system so could continue to work on another screen (assuming one is handy)

I'm saying this as previously mentioned the Photoshop is professional use ... so I must admit that I'm definitely not an expert on this ... just mentioning my own opinion ...

Laptop screens are usually a poor choice for photoshop due to the majority of them being TN panels, all the ones in my store are in any case. I think some macbook models in the past or present have had IPS panels in them though.
Even if you are fortunate enough to get a good screen in your laptop the adjustment you have over it is usually limited to brightness and gamma in the OS so therefore making it even more unlikely you'll get an accurate picture.
