I was trying to use Opera as I used them years ago and really liked it. I had to swap to my second choice (Firefox) because Opera's iOS app doesn't have any sync features for bookmarks or passwords, so I still had to use Chrome on the phone. Firefox lets me move seamlessly between my devices like Chrome did, but without the bloat. Bonus is my main addon also supports Firefox (Teleparty), though I see it's just as buggy as on Chrome xD

I use Opera on mobile as it's the only one I have that does text reflow properly.

I've been using firefox for years but somehow missed the container feature. It's great. Thanks, guys!

snj:

I ended up giving Edge (with multiple profiles) a go for most day-to-day stuff. I do also use Firefox for some stuff, but mainly the stuff that is straightforward for container use and I'd already setup before I decided on Edge. Edge/Chrome profiles are superior for other stuff for me, mainly where some sites overlap between two uses.

Edge having native vertical tabs is the big win for me, Firefox's Tree Style Tabs extension is great, but I've found it to be less stable these days than it used to be when I was primarily using Firefox 16 years ago.

Biggest issue I had with Edge is the amount of setting hunting to tell it to get lost with all the Microsoft Rewards/Bing/etc stuff, but thankfully it is possible.

I've been using Zen for similar reasons - native vertical tabs, but firefox based.

After following this thread have used Firefox on Windows 11 laptop for a few days now. It is suffering from occasional freezes. Maybe once every day or two.

Not worked out yet if there's a pattern to this.

I use Firefox on my work and personal laptops, running Windows 11. I haven't had this problem. I have only two add-ons (uBlock Origin, Bitwarden).

If not done yet, I recommend testing with a profile with no add-ons and see if it happens.

Thanks. I had the same two, plus for some reason "Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials". I have removed that first and will see how it goes.

Ditto Firefox for myself, both work and home. At home, have approx 100 tabs,  no freeze,  win10, 16gb.  uBlock and ad block.

And a backspace key thing. Goes to previous page when backspace pressed.

Edit- ublock correction

I have made the move to Firefox.

It feels like some sites are a bit slower to load, but not enough to make me frown.

uBlock and Bitwarden seem to be doing their thing which is what I really wanted.

Will stick with FF for the forseeable I think.
