It happens when it tries to communicate for a new work unit and fails... Then keeps retrying until it gets a new one - and your account is updated.

Annoying that it seems they are having capacity issues.

Yes, interesting. Just noticed a new work unit - previous one had an estimated credit of around 70k but my stats still show the old one. Perhaps waiting for validation before credits applied?

From Folding @ Home

Hi! Yes for the moment our stats server is not displaying live updated numbers due to the sheer volume of network traffic we are receiving, and we want our network to be able to focus primarily on sending out WUs to do the actual science. Stats should be updated on weekdays once every 24-48 hours, but that is flexible right now. We appreciate your support and patience!

@Apsattv what GPU are you folding on? ive got a 1060 going 24/7

I only have a GTX 980 , i'm not doing CPU projects at all (I7 5820k 6core 12thread stock speed)

I have 7 other pcs here idle, as I dont have any spare gpus to go in them and CPU projects on there own just are not worth the Power usage on older machines.

I could do with a few low profile gpus for a few old i5 office machines though.

Hard to keep an interest when the stats havn't moved in the last 3 days.

I hope they fix that soon.

Think I should be over 40+ units by now, i havn't even had issues with getting work units.

Does anyone have an idea on how much a day its costing to run a 980 gpu  for 12-15 hours a day?

GTX 980 GPU is what 275w? so over 15h is maybe 4.5kwh max. and at 20c ish per kwh is less than $1 per day

My entire PC running Rosetta and Folding + the monitor is using 320W as reported by my UPS. mine runs 24/7. so maybe $1.50 per day. just think of that free heating going into winter

Actually GPUZ says the 980 is running %98 usage and Power Comsumption %66 - %68 TDP so powerwise not maxxed out at all.

so based on 275 watts should be lower than your estimate?

i just took the max quoted figure for the GPU so as mentioned would be lower
