Good moring.

I am using:
a. A PC with Windoze 2000
b. ActiveSync 4.2.0
c. A USB cable connected directly to my Imate JasJam (Telstra)

Connection is fine. However, I seem to be missing calander item.
for some reason some calander items are not synced.  There does not seem to be any difference between items that are synced and those that don't.

Contacts work perfectly.

I have read numerous usergroups and while the problem has been described a number of times the solution has not yet been posted.

I'm hoping some kind person in this forum may be able to help.

Thanks in advance.

Are these calendar items of the past/expired date? or the future appointments?

By default, activesync keeps 2 weeks worth of past appointments and all future appointments.

thanks for the reply Chiefie,

The apointments I am interested in are furture appointments.

However, I have set the past appoint ments to sync all.

interestinly, I have created new appointment in MS Outlook on the PC and they are not being synced.

New appointments on the Imate are being synced.

Is there a direction setting?

regards,

psychrn

Im sure there was a direction thingee at once stage but I cant see it now either. ?? due to new active sync version.
I think Occassionally I get this problem and I cant often work it out.
For some reason I get missing contacts from time to time-like as in my daughter !! Cant see rhyme or reason for this to happen.
Seem to be working ok now.

Doing further tests, results in the following.

appointments created on the PC are not copied to the Imate.
appointments created on the iMate are copied to the PC.
appointments deleted on the PC are not synced with the same appointment on the iMate.
appointments deleted on the iMate are not deleted on the PC.

Seems I am not missing appointments. Active sync is one going one way (iMate => PC) but not for deletions

To close things out and for thoses trolling for solutions for this type of problem.

My issues were resolved by updateing Outlook to 2002.

Something I did not consider.

Thanks for the suggestions.

oh. Were you using Outlook 2000? Looks like another good reason to install the included Outlook 2002 (at least) to get ActiveSync and Windows Mobile to work properly.

Good to hear it's all working again.
