My Palm Z22 is injured. It has three small and close together scratches near the bottom left of the

screen. They must be pretty deep because they've mucked up the display of the screen and there's

an orange blob with silver around it under the scratches. Well I'm not sure if I needed to describe the

scatches but what I really want to know is if I my warranty will cover it. Will it?

VERY doubtful

...

It sounds like the glass in the LCD has been cracked which means a whole new LCD module will be needed.

That sort of damage is never covered under any warranty I've ever seen...

The orange blob is a certain sign of physical damage (its liquid seeping through cracks).

Warranties cover something going wrong in/on the device due to poor design or the device failing of its own accord.

Outside influences such as crushing, dropping, scratching or anything physical to cause a breakage of the screen is absolutely not covered by warranty - this is what insurance is for.

If you drive your new Ford into a telephone pole, and wreck the bumper and headlights, is this covered under warranty? Nope.

Oh dear... well that's $198 down the drain. And I I'm 13 so I don't have that kind of money. Oh well

You could try to either get it repaired (no real idea how much that would cost sorry) but the alternative is checking about to see what screen it can take and see if you are able to do it with your z22 *warning this does completely void your warranty* and it is hard to get a screen here in nz but you can try. I havent opened up a z22 only my Z72 after it ahd the black screen of death but managed to get it going again :D
