First off, wow, it is so smooth and fast in use. Nothing lags and the screen is fantastic and responsive for this or any other price point. It is amazing for the price and I dont think there will be much under $500 that would touch it. It blows the g300 out of the water, thats for sure.
The 2 degrees one does not appear to have NFC though. Are there different versions which do have NFC? or is it like the internet sharing which needs a future fix to enable? Its not a big deal, but it would be nice to have if it is available on the phone.

Hmmm. How do you know it doesn't have NFC? Have you gone into Settings and can't see "tap+send" there?

Yep, that is all I have done. There is no setting I can see for tap to send.
2 degrees website seems to indicate that you need a special sim card, phone and the snapper app to use NFC. http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/touch2pay/smartphones. Pass, would be cool to find out if it is there or not.

It just happens I was reading the last reply when I got a call from Huawei. I will be in AKL tomorrow and get one of these handsets to try. And he confirmed there is no NFC on these.

Huawei NZ just replied to another post I made in the W1 thread and confirmed that the version sold here does not have NFC.
