Trying to convert some avis and divx files to run on my pocket PC but not sure what file format I need to convert them to.

Anyone know what standards are compatible with the version of media player embedded in it?

Or an alternative player that plays DivX files?

Windows Media Player Mobile will play WMA, MP3, WMV files... For a more complete set of files and codecs, I suggest the Core Media Player.

Does this replace TCPMP?

Yes. New name. New branding. Same stuff.

Did you always have to pay for it for a SmartPhone? Was free for the JasJar. Do you know if it will change orientation to landscape when in full screen like media player does, I quite like that (although teh 1210 does not have the power to play WMV, hence why looking at TCPMP).
