Hey guys and gals,
I went to the telecom and downloaded the latest firmware for my HTC Harrier (1.29.00 WWE),

(link: http://www.telecom.co.nz/content/0,8748,202143-202890,00.html)

I followed all the instructions, it read my device and displayed all the correct information about it saying its ids etc, i pressed next and the next thing i know its saying it said update was unsucessful, and now when i try and turn the Harrier on it displays:

" SERIAL

v1.02 "

and when its in the cradle:

" USB

v1.02 "

My computer picks it up that theres something in the USB but it cant sync with it, Do i have to get it send away and face the big fee ill get?

Hope i can helped and my newness doesnt stop people helping me :)

Note, i dont care if i loose everything, as long as i have it back and im keen to try anything to get it back

You can connect the Harrier and run the update again. You can also try a soft reset and run the update again. If this fails, then you can send it to repair.

You can use the same file... The device is in a special "mode" waiting for a connection from the updater. You might want to download the file again just in case it got corrupted the first time.

Right... Good to know. But now something: please please when asking for help folks give us ALL the information you have. If I knew you were running Windows Vista I would have suggested you to use a Windows XP straight away...

As Jerry McGuire says: Help me help you!
