I'm keen to disassemble my trusty old Smartphone 2 to clean out some of the dust and gunk.  I can't for the life of me find any screws so I can only assume it's 'clipped' together somehow.  Has anyone succeeded in taking apart their SP2 an , more importantly, re-assembled it successfully.  If so, how please.

Hi

I'm in the same boat. How did you get on?

Mark

No joy yet, sorry Mark.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

It's clipped mates. Just a bit hard to open at first. With a little force it will open. I've opened quite a few actually. Use plastic opening tool, something like a guitar pick. Good luck!

Many thanks. Any particular starting point or clues on the clip points.

Thanks, Mark

Sounds encouraging thanks Kiwiboi, as per Mark's request, any hints as to where the clip points are.

Partial success.  Got a plastic knife and jammed it just above the InfraRed transceiver.  This lifted off the screencover which seems to be held in with some clips and sticky, gooey paper.  This allowed me to wipe all way all the dust etc. from the screen so mission achieved for now.  Clipped it back in place and all is fine.  I won't bother with pulling it apart further at this stage.
