BUGGER!

Contact doesn't work, calendar doesnt work either... had to do hard reset (clear storage) to get the phone back to its factory settings.

But once i done that, i noticed that the Vodafone settings are all gone (apparently they're not stored in the ROM) and GPRS setting and PXT setting are all gone. Vodafone home-colour scheme missing, Vodafone Operator Bootup image is longer there... Vodafone home background image isn't there either...

Anyhow, not a big biggie... (sadly the Favorite in the PIE for imate club and other imate related site/bookmark that comes with phone are all gone...)

I managed to get the GPRS setting and PXT setting from wireless.vodafone.co.nz but if anyone who uses Smartphone2 and still have the list of favorite in their PIE, please post them to me either on private message or here. thanks...

Now, Mauricio did mentioned that there's update for smartphone2 from club-imate site... but i can find the related update which has ArcSoft MMS Composer 1.50.15.....

Log into Club i-mate, and visit this page. Download the device customisation for Vodafone New Zealand (Smartphone2VodafoneNZSetupV1.zip). This will install the new MMS composer, the Vodafone theme, and all the configuration for GPRS APN, MMS, SMS, etc.

If you can't download the file, then the IMEI in your phone is not in their database. It happened to me on my i-mate Pocket PC Phone Edition. Send an e-mail to them asking to fix.

How long do you have to wait for them to insert the IMEI into their database? I registered a month ago... but that was with another smartphone2 imei, that last one had a faulty key so returned that, now today i emailed them requesting to update my account with new imei... and tried the online help chat, no response from them... I read from their support forum that they don't response back much at all.... so wondering if i will ever see any feedback from them AT ALL!!! Grrrr.....

You can register again with the new IMEI. They're a little slow, but I've got some replies for a similar problem.

Did the file work? Did it install the new MMS composer?

Yes it works... the newer version of Arcsoft MMS composer is much easier to use, and it also able to browse for other folders in the device, NEAT!... still, a better integration with Inbox/Contact would be a bonus.

Question, How to record video in 3GPP format on Smartphone2? the video that recorded by camcorder on smartphone2 is in AVI format though.

Once again, thank you very very much Mauricio.
