As far as I know you'll need to reinstall them - think of it as a good opportunity to clean things up a little. Give the phone a hard reset etc etc.

I've recently gone from a 1gb to a 2gb (now looking at moving even higher).
I copied my 1GB memory card folders onto my PC from the phone, put in the new 2gb card and copied everything back.
The most important thing is to be able to see any hidden files so that they copy across (check your folder option in explorer). Do it all in data transfer mode aswell otherwise it takes forever. If you have a card reader on your pc I suggest you do it through that to speed things up.
I also made sure that my new card was named exactly the same as my old one. Not sure if it would make a difference or not.
Good luck

I recently upgraded from a 2 GB to an 8 GB card on my N82.

found the fastest way was to put the card in my laptop's SD slot with an adapter, copy the complete file and folder structure onto the laptop, then put the new card in and copy them across.

A card reader on a desktop would do the same job. It worked fine.

Using the phone will work too but it'll be a bit slower.

Incidentally, I've found that native transfer mode seems to me a little slower than PCSuite under Vista. Perhaps that's due to the now infamous copy bug.
