I have an O2 XDA Flame which I use daily for music listening,it has 2GB onboard storage,128mb ram,and a 1GB microsd card.

I have usually about 1.5 GB of music stored in the main device which I swap out every three or four days.

I just noticed today that when I load WMP/playlist/all music etc and "go" then switch to settings/memory usage,I can watch it go from the normal 20 something mb of ram used up until there's only 6mb or less of free ram left.
This seems ridiculous........I was wondering why using anything else when music was playing, was soo sluggish.....I thought it was just because I was using the device in power saving mode, but it is obviously freeing ram up that is being gobbled by WMP10 as well. Its almost like its trying to load the complete 1.5 gigs of music into the ram at once, which seems extremely dumb to me.

Being my first WM5 device [yes,I know I"m an OS behind]I'm not really familiar with the quirks of it.

I've never noticed this but I am asking around within the MVP group...

A couple of the MVPs commented about seeing high memory usage on WMP - one of them actually suggested you should try using Pocket Music instead...
