Has anyone had problems with software not being compatible with second edition? Every time I install something it gives me a warning saying the software was meant for a previous version of Windows. It usually still works, but it worries me a bit.

It says that even if the software was intended for WM2003SE. Kind of rude if you ask me; it's purely CYA - didn't they think about "when will we NOT display this message?". No. In theory, if you never upgrade ypur OS, and your PPC lasts 'till 2020, you could load a program written for WM2020 (presuming it was backwards compatible) and it would give you that messsage.. Kind of short sighted if you ask me.

HOWEVER, I don't know how current some of these comments are. What I do is when I search for software, I tend to look at the release date (you can sort on latest release/mod date on Handango). I figure if it was say after Apr 2004 (just a guess) or so, there's a moderate chance that it would be compatible. You can either try it and find out or, if there is no trial version, do some searches on that title and see if you can find anything out.
