Hi All

I'm trying to unlock my Okta using the 2.31 Unlocker app from PPC Geeks - but no joy so far. I get to the tri-colour screen and disconnect and re-connect USB as instructed. However I can't get Activesync to reconnect at this point as required. If I run the rest of the routine it seems to load onto the phone but it just re boots into same old Telecom. Any ideas?

Peter

erm, from what I recall regarding the unlocking process you dont need to resync once you get the tri-coloured screen up; it will then say to disconnect and reconnect USB cable; at this point it will cut the connection with activesync and when you reconnect, it wont resync! This is okay, you can still run the ROMupdateutility whilst the unit is connected via the bootloader screen (tricolour screen) it should then start the install process and you'll see the device change from tricolour screen to a grey screen with 1%...

Sometimes it looks like it stalls on 11%, but just be patient, it will do its thing.

I know, I had same issue as you and found the instructions to be a little ambiguous.

Try : http://arianhojat.com/files/phone/vx6900_GPS_custom_rom.html This guy has made a better guide (as far as I concerned) regarding the whole update process than anything you'll find on PPCGeeks.

Cheers,
Craig.
