I have just got a brand new XDA2s and it was supplied with a Nokia headset. After about couple of weeks it says that the bluetooth licence has expired and the headset no longer works.

What on earth is going on and how do I fix it...crazy???!!

Is this a test device you bought? It sounds like it, I've only seen this message on pre-release devices, the ones used for demos before going into full production. Or someone tried to install a Bluetooth update from an invalid file.

You can try a hard reset. If it doesn't work I suggest you contact your supplier and have this unit changed.

No, it isn't a pre-release XDA2s so I wonder what has caused it. I will contact the supplier and see what they say and I'll keep you posted when it is sorted.

have had the XDA2s for 3 weeks and i am very dissappointed with the phone when just holding like a normal phone cuts out a lot
with Std Headset very low volume
with motorola BT Headset lots of echo and crackling
with Nokia BT Headset call reciever gets echo

and now this

Driving me nuts

My wife's XDAIIs has the same BlueTooth problem ! Keeps coming up with "licence expired". I have just got it back from the Tech Shop, as the microphone problem, with the voice fading in and out, was a known fault, and has apparently been corrected now. They also did a full software reload, as it had been "doing it's own thing" every now and then................ so, my point is that this is a completely Tech Shop fresh XDAIIs, and it still have this BlueTooth bug !

I am logging this as a fault tomorrow, and I will let you know what happens regarding the BT licence issue. I am looking forward to their explanation ! Whilst I am here, does anyone know how to MMS enable a HP 6340 with an O2 sim in it ? O2 can't send me the settings, even though I asked for the XDAIIs ones to be sent to my telephone number......

I will update as soon as I have any information........

I've got this word from O2 today:

"O2 UK has approved a new rom 1.31.xxx, and we will release this at the start of march for download from the UK websites (SourceO2, then the main Xda site). This version will also be used on stock from our warehouse, later this month.
