Hi there,

Can anybody recommend the best (cheapest) way to obtain a Fititsu Siemens LOOX 720 PDA in New Zealand? Will Fijitsu support the warranty here?
They seem like an excellent device, but they seem difficult to purchase on this side of the planet.

Hmmm... Why the Loox 720? Any particular feature you want there?

Anyway, try contacting i-toys, they sell Fujitsu and other brands here in New Zealand.

Thanks for your quick reply. When I compared the features of different VGA devices I was impressed by its balance of features. I'm all ears if you would recommend a different model though.
I really liked the fact that it is smaller/lighter than the HP, yet has a high quality screen, USB support, Consumer IR, Camera, good battery life and there seemed almost nothing that the others have that it doesn't (at least on paper). Those are 'nice to haves' though. My 'must haves' are VGA, external microphone support, SD/CF and bluetooth/wireless, which seems to limit it to the MyPal a730w, Axim X50v, HP hx4700 and Toshiba e830.

While I'm here I might as well add that I am looking at this device to replace my HP 2210. It suddenly cut dead while I was listening to music, restarted once for a few seconds and then died again. Now it won't turn on at all and won't charge (no blinking light when I plug it in). I've tried hard resets and removing the battery for extended periods but it doesn't respond in any way.
My one hope is that the battery died so I will try and borrow a replacement to test. Following that is there any common fault that it might be? Thanks.
