Hello

I have been having a problem sharing my internet connection to my Ipaq 1940 using bluetooth. I have done it before with a different USB bluetooth device but after it got damaged I decided to purchace one that works over a larger area. I have done (as far as I can remember) the same as i did with the last one but when I use the network acces (having configured it to share my internet) it says conection failed could not connect to remote device. Any sugestions on what to do or try thank you.

Even if this is the same computer as before you will have to delete the pairing and create it again. also, make sure there is no firewall blocking the Bluetooth communications - such as Zone Alarm, NIS or the Windows Firewall.

Ok I have tried Re paring the PDA and computer but with no luck. I do not have a firewall device activated at the moment. I have found that when I configure the netwrok acess If I set it to allow the PDA to conect Via a private network it works but if I set it to acess the internet/LAN (which is what i want) it dosent work. Any ideas? Or is there a way of sharing the internet using a private network? Thanks

Make sure your Bluetooth device is set to 192.168.0.1, as this is needed for ICS. You can only use ICS if the Bluetooth configuration is set to "Access Internet" (LAP), not "Private Network" (PAN).

Make sure to disable the ICS, reboot and enable it again - it could be that Windows is still working/pointing to the old device, no longer there.
