Hi

This worked for me, I have a cable broadband modem connected to a wireless router with a number of pc's connected to the router. The default subnet of the router is 192.168.1.0.

the pc which my ipaq connects to has a static address of 192.168.1.103 with the gateway and dns of the routers ip 192.168.1.1. The bluetooth net card i have place on a diff subnet of 192.168.0.0 with a static ip of 192.168.0.1 and a gateway of the pc wireless nic 192.168.1.103, dns is the router again 192.168.1.1. The bluetooth adaptor on the ipaq is set to 192.168.0.2 with a gateway of 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1.

I enabled routing on the pc by following the instructions below:

In the Run command type Regedit.exe and press Enter.

In the registry navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

Select the "IPEnableRouter" entry (by default the value is 0) and change it's value to 1.

Close Regedit.

Reboot.

I then added an entry to the routing table on the pc so pc can find ipaq

route ADD 192.1.0.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.103

then on the config pages of wireless router i added a routing entry as above.

rebooted

on the ipaq i then iniated network access to the pc and could then ping eveything and access internet.

Welcome both of you!

The OP does not say what Bluetooth is being used... Is it a Widcomm-based Bluetooth software, or the Windows XP Service Pack 2 software?

If using the Windows XP software then Bluetooth access is tricky - the PC can not be a server for a connection. The best way then is to establish an ActiveSync connection over Bluetooth and use the Passthrough feature.

If using the Widcomm-based software, then start by following this guide.
