I have an ipaq 5550 and Nokia 6680, both bluetooth capable. Is it possible to sync contact data between the 2 devices using bluetooth?

Currently, I am syncing from ipaq to PC using USB cradle, then syncing from PC to Nokia using Nokia PC Suite and Nokia USB cable.

My PC doesn't have bluetooth.

Would be great to be able to sync contact data on phone automatically, without having to spend time plugging in cable - which is easy to forget to do.

there is no method for Ipaq syncing data with nokia (or other cellphone/devices for that matter) except to PC. You can however beams contacts over to other devices but that is different from syncing and could result in duplicated information.

Your best bet is doing what you have been doing, but with a bit of twist... perhaps you could invest in getting a bluetooth dongle, which these days are pretty affordable, then you can do without both cables totally.

Your PC (outlook) will be the main database where Ipaq and Nokia will get its information from.

On the bonus though, If i remember correctly, Nokia's cellphone can use BT-LAN and so you can share your BT connection with nokia phone and use your nokia to surf internet too... (why would you do that? i dont know...)




Oh! while you're here, and since you're using nokia 6680 and Outlook to sync with Ipaq... could you do an experiment for me please?
