I use I-mate JAM and the latest ActiveSync software (3.8).
when I sync I get that in the files Information Type "1 item not synchronized".
I didn't find a log or a way to understand wich file or why. any idea?

In general this is a file you have changed in both your Pocket PC and computer. Try a soft reset, and if ActiveSync still can't find the correct file version then you could try moving all files from the synchronisation folder to a temporary folder on your PC, synchronise, and then copy them back.

You're right Bazi, the Activesync logging and reporting of which file is the problem is not very useful.

If there is a conflict, it's often hard to figure out what file is causing it, but normally you can get things sync'd one of a couple of ways. First just try clicking the resolve items button then or try Mauricio's method above.

If neither of these work be aware the default option setting in a conflict is to leave the item unresolved. You can change this behaviour if you want to force either the PDA or the PC to be the source in a conflict.

Do this by clicking the "Options" button in Activesync (or Tool, Options), selecting the "Rules" tab. In the Conflict Resolution area click the dropdown button next to "Leave the Item Unresolved" (for either Desktop or Server sync, which ever you are doing) and change it to either
-"Always Replace the item on my device" (ie the file on the PC wins and overwirites the PDA version
or
-"Always replace the item on this computer" (ie the version on the computer running activesync is removed and replaced with the PDA version)

Then click resolve again and hopefully the problem will be gone

The difference in versions cause a conflict with a "resolve conflict" option. in this case it's just a "1 item not synchronized". with no options to anything.

Mauricio, I tried it with the files I added (to the root of the Pocke_PC My ducumets). it didn't help. should I try that with the all the directory (including ones like Calls, Dictionaries, UAContents etc.)? I don't wont' to cause a demage to anything.

Thanks.

Yes, you can move all the files and folders to your computer, synchronise and then move back, safely.
