Nokia N90 review

First of all I must to say that this not a regular review and I’m not going to write long piece, with lots of useless technical information. This is just a short user opinion based on my huge experience with Symbian phones, which I have used since the first models of Nokia’s 7650.

I hope it will clear some doubts and to help other users to decide whether it is worth buying or not. Also, please keep in mind that this review is based on final handset, not on preproduction models like on some web sites.

It was love at first sight; the phone looks impressive in every segment, a technically superb device that caused a ‘wow effect’ from me and my friends. All of them, even a few hardcore SE fan.. ...

Nice one Apoc. shame it doesn't vibrate. I live by vibrate alert all the time, without that it just means i will miss many SMS/MMS/calls.

Heck, 1 day without vibration on my current imate got me frantic and hard reset and reinstall it all over and to get vibration working!

Other than that, looks good, i certainly like the high res screen. and dual screen is great, and camera len's quality looks good from the photos taken.

However, like i mentioned above, without vibration alert, it misses a big score from me, and the previous experience with MS Outlook and Nokia's PC Suite got me weary too... *bad sync*

Internet is my backyard...

It shoots great movies too. I've dug out a link to an amusing clip that demonstrates just how good it is. Let me know if you agree!!!!!!

Of course my friend, it has the best video recorder in mobile world, video is just incredible, I know it has just 15 fps but even with that rate it looks quite good. I would like to see at least 30 fps in upcoming phones…
There is nothing similar in mobile phones, I’ve compared video with video taken with my Olympus (it takes video in avi format) and it looks even better.. ...

I’ve tried to burn it as VCD and it looks pretty good believe me.

It could be fake, but I don’t think so, it’s the real successor prototype..

Thanks for posting your movie Apoc. After downloading it I found I cannot play mp4 movies on this machine. I'll take your word for it being better than your Olympus however.

You should be able to play mp4 movies on QuickTime or RealPlayer...
