Sadly Netfront does not work anymore with WM5 devices.

I need a browser that can disguise itself as a 3G phone browser to allow my Dopod 900 to take advantage of the free 3G content offered by my local service provider. Netfront probably could have done the trick if it were useable in WM5.

Any suggestion?

(WM5 is turning out to be less compatable with previous version than I would have liked... OzVGA, MultiIE, Netfront... all do not work)

Card or main memory, Netfront doesn't seem to run properly either way.

www.wm5fixsite.com says the same thing.

A quick update. I now have enough information to answer my own question :)

User agent: It is just a matter of changing your registry and modify a key called 'user agent'. A search in google should provide you with lors of info.

I ended up having two .reg files to aloow myself to quickly switch back and forth between different 2 browser identifications under Pocket IE.

I also searched around and found some supplementary files to allow OzVGA to work with wm5. I am actually typing this message using my PPC in true VGA mode. Yes everything is pretty small, but you get the space that you would normally expect from a regular PC, which is a dream come true.

I think I have finally found a perfect handheld device that can do just about anything I want it to do.

Well, it sounds like a good solution (the .reg files) and it fits your needs. Should be good then!
