Hello,

I have problems syncronizing a Jornada 720 with a laptop. I'd like to do it via infrared but for doing that it seems that I have to sync using serial first and then change activesync to IR. I did that with my old laptop and it worked. The problem is that my new laptop does not have a serial port, so I used a serial2USB converter and I could not get activesync working with it.

Any special trick for activesync with serial2USB converters?
Any way to get activesync work with IR without previously using serial (some configuration file or something like that)?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Cheers,

Sito

With the serial2Usb (USB2Serial) you have to make sure the correct drivers are installed.

I had a cable that wouldn't work. I tried everything, but I think I had the wrong drivers.

I bought another adapter and installed the drivers and it worked fine. It doesn't seem to like working through a usb hub, so make sure you are plugging usb directly into computer.

Good Luck
