Hi all,

Which GPS navigation software can I use on SonyEricsson Xperia X1i for New Zealand? The phone comes with GoogleMaps and Wayfinder, but I am looking for something like TomTom. TomTom7 used to be available for Windows Mobile phones, but that seems to have changed. Is there any other software available for this phone?

Thanks!

Garmin works perfectly well for NZ - the NZ Open GPS maps are free for Garmin devices and updated monthly (use the Zenbu POI info). Used to use on my X1 when I had one.

I'd probably go to Ebay, its quite to find now (just spent quite a while looking for you!).

Its not a bad purchase, since it works on all current Symbian and Windows Mobile handsets, so potentially for the one-off cost you've got yourself sorted for a long time to come.

Worth noting that it comes on a 2GB microSD card, and is locked to the card, although many have transferred it to larger capacity cards. Strictly speaking this violates the user agreement, but if you have a legitimate copy it seems fair enough.

I am actually just installing CoPilot now - it was just released to AU/NZ and I was sent a copy. So far it looks very polished, compared to Sygic.
